Safe-Hub Philadelphia

Upon identifying the high need and high desire for the Safe-Hub model in Philadelphia, AMANDLA has transitioned into the city as the home for the first North American Safe-Hub. Philadelphia faces various socioeconomic challenges, but there is strong political and social momentum to invest in youth and community development, sports programming and infrastructure. Safe-Hub will establish a footprint in North Philadelphia through implementing after school sport-based youth development programs in Spring 2020 and building its first full-scale Safe-Hub facility in the U.S. by the end of 2023.
